The Benue state government has called for more Proactive action from the Federal Government to tackle the problems of insurgency in Benue state.
Special Adviser to the State Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Solomon Wombo made the call Thursday while briefing Reporters in Makurdi.
Wombo said the indifference of the federal government and security agencies to the plight of the traumatized people of the state had become a source of worry for the state government.
According to the Adviser, "When these  clashes started, we thought it was the normal misunderstanding between Benue farmers and herders, but with the level of killings and occupation of many Tiv communities  in the last few months by the invaders we have realised that those responsible for this carnage were not normal herdsmen but terrorists”
