Starting at 10pm,
the event ran well into the early hours of the next day where friends of Jack Daniel’s were treated to an
exclusive opening with rock performances and music mixes by King’s band and DJ Humility. One of the high points of
the party was when Sean Tizzle and Kamar’s creativity and talent was
brought to the fore as they performed rock versions of their hit singles.
Jack and the Beats played host to Jimmy Jatt, SDC, D’tunes, Eva, Efa, Chris D
Razor(Beat FM), UtiUwachukwuand Clay
among others...
The next edition of
Jack and the beats will hold on Saturday,
March 29, at Crescendo Lounge in
Ikeja GRA and will featuring rock performances from Eva, Ese Peters and Reminisce
with live music support from The King’s Band and DJ Humility.
Jack and the Beats
is a continuation of Jack Daniel’s 150-year heritage which includes a long
association with music. Jack Daniel’s and music share a long history, with Jack
himself having begun one of the oldest recorded music sponsorship in the 1860's
– of the Silver Cornet band. Jack’s whiskey would become the unofficial whiskey
of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. Rock ‘n’ roll would take over the mantle in
the ‘60s and some have said the history of music is dripping with Jack Daniel’s.
