The "About" page
of the Nigerian House Of Representatives website was hacked today, by a
hacker, Osaretin Michael Omoruyi, who goes by "Haxor Ositilife Leet".
The page, which when clicked begins to play music and display the
hacker's graphics, now displays an ominous threat to the page's web
administrator. Continue...
"Hello Admin," the warning says. "Haxor Ositilife Leet was here.
Patch your security or the next time we come [it's] gonna be rough."
The warning, which has been on the page for much of the day, ends
saying "No hard feelings though this is just a security reminder.
The break-in highlights an obvious failure of the House of Reps site.
The website, which also houses an extensive amount of acts, bills,
notice papers, and other pertinent documentation, seemed to be a major
target for the hacker, who also linked to his Facebook page.
On the page,
the amateur hacker outlines many of his past and future targets. Photos
on the page show he has previously hacked university websites and
altered JAMB results online. The hacker promises the next site hacked
will be that of the National Institute of Legislative Studies.
"Security is just an ILLUSION," the hacked page threatened. "We will be back soon."
