The Rolls-Royce Bespoke Celestial Phantom is the luxury car maker's latest special edition, with 466 diamonds throughout the interior.

The star exhibit was initially showcased at the Dubai International Motor Show in 2013, but has drawn much attention since, thanks to its luxury addition of nearly 500 diamonds, as well as its unique roof lighting that depicts a night sky.

The 446 diamonds were placed individually by hand throughout the interior of the high-end vehicle. The sparkling additions can be found in the rear-privacy divider, centre console lid and door cappings.
The special one-off edition car also features one of the most original innovations, using over 1,000 fibre optic lights to create a night sky illusion in the roof of the car. The lighting, named the Starlight Headliner, is a tribute to the first Phantom ever sold, on 1 January 2003. The bespoke roof lighting depicts the night sky seen on that evening in Goodwood, UK where the car brand is headquartered.

Adding to the celestial theme, the two-tone exterior of the car is painted in a dark blue, which Rolls-Royce says “evokes the night sky”. Glass particle effects in the paint further achieve an “alluring sense of depth and light”.

Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös explained that the special edition diamond-encrusted car had been created especially for the Dubai International Motor Show as the Middle East was the largest market in the world for bespoke car designs.

He added: “Every Rolls-Royce is crafted with only the finest materials, extending the Celestial Phantom's starry night theme with one of the rarest and most precious commodities in the world.”

Only one of these Bespoke Celestial Phantom models was ever created, reportedly for an oil baron. There has been no indication on the price of the limited edition luxury vehicle, but it will have gone for much more than the £285,000 (AU$566,938) starting price for a standard Phantom model.
