CFB reader complains about service charge collected at Uyo Airport

I haven't flown locally in a while so I don't know how these things work but here's something a CFB reader sent in. Read below...

"I am really worried with the way things are going in this country. I was at Uyo airport on my way back to Abuja and we were made to pay N1000 for service charge. Is the service charge not included in the ticket? They made it compulsory for everyone to pay N1000 cash before you will be allowed to check in. Please let the right thing be done and let the appropriate authority intervene because this is extortion. Thanks
