With his inspiration coming from the great Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Malique (real names Oluwasegun Malik Gbadamosi) is a young, talented and energetic artist who hails from the largest city in West Africa, Ibadan. Malique can be referred to as a newbie in the Nigerian music industry but his delivery of lyrics and sound gets him in the pack of the new artists set for the takeover in the industry.

What a lucky escape...the wooden post could have driven through her body

Massachusetts State Police shared this photo on Facebook on November 4, showing how a woman escaped injury when a wooden post flew through her windshield. The post reads:

This morning, just after 11:00 a.m., a 67-year-old woman from Holyoke was traveling north on Interstate 91 in Springfield when a 4x4 wood post came through her windshield. The wood post is believed to have fallen off off of another vehicle.

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo is tired of comparisons with Barcelona rival Lionel Messi and understands why some people must dislike his personality or the ways he sees football. Photos of a 13 month old baby girl who survived South Sudan plane crash

13 month old Nyalou Thong is the 2nd person that survived the Australian cargo plane that crashed in White Nile river near Jabu International Airport, South Sudan on Wednesday Nov. 4th. Nyalou lost her mother and sister who she was traveling with. She and a middle aged man who held on to her during the crash are the only survivors of the crash. 39 people perished in the crash. Nyalou suffered a broken leg and is currently in a hospital where she is receiving treatment. More pics after the cut..

Kenyans and Zimbabweans come for each other on twitter

Kenyans and Zimbabweans had a twitter fight two days go after a Kenyan news outlet, The Spectator, published a false article saying that Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe made a defamatory comment about Kenyans. The report has now been discredited. Spectator quoted Mugabe as saying
"Those people of East Africa shock me with their wizardry in stealing. Sometimes I tend to believe that stealing is in every Kenyan's blood….You can even think that there is a subject in their universities called Bachelor of Stealing".
Kenyans didn't find the comment funny and came for Zimbabweans on Twitter. It's hilarious...

Russian special forces foil terror attack

Russian special forces have prevented an ISIS terror attack in the south of Russia after uncovering a huge bomb hidden in plastic casks on the side of the road. The terror attack was scheduled to take place in the village of Kantyshevo in south-western Russia's Republic of Ingushetia. Russian security services said the bomb contained 3.5 tonnes of explosives.

Lagos High Court Dismisses Saraki’s application to stop his CCT trial

A Federal High Court in Lagos has struck out a suit by Senate President Bukola Saraki, trying to stop his arrest, prosecution and trial at the Code of Conduct tribunal in Abuja. The presiding judge, Justice Ibrahim Buba held that the court lacks jurisdiction to hear the application. Saraki is standing trial for alleged false asset declaration while he was governor of Kwara state.

4 members of a family lost their lives today in a fatal accident along the Abakwa, Buruku local government area of Benue state. The accident involved an 18-seater commercial bus that collided with a motorcycle carrying the deceased persons which comprised of a man, his wife and two brothers. They all died on the spot, while a few passengers in the bus, including the driver, sustained serious injuries. Khadija Khatoon Khadija, 21, from Kolkata, West Bengal, Eastern India, was born without a face and her mouth is a small slit on the left side of her face. When she was born, concerned doctors were baffled by her condition for months. Although it has never been confirmed, they believe she has a form of neurofibromatosis, a rare deformity that causes tumours to grow along nerves. Medics told Khadija and her family there was nothing they could do after extra skin continued to grow out of control.
