Belgian wonderkid could be available for transfer following contract snub.
The
likes of Manchester United and Liverpool are said to be on red alert
following the news that Zakaria Bakkali has rejected a new contract
offer from PSV, according to the Daily Express.
The
outstanding Belgian teenager, dubbed the ‘new Eden Hazard’, is also
being tracked by the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid ahead
of a possible move in January or next summer as his future in Holland
looks increasingly uncertain.
The 18-year-old enjoyed an
impressive breakthrough campaign last season, becoming the youngest
player in Eredivisie history to score a hat-trick, and looking like one
of the most exciting young talents coming through in European football
at the moment.
His fellow countryman Hazard has found great success since moving to
the Premier League with Chelsea, and Bakkali could now look to follow in
his footsteps as he looks to make the next step up in his career.
Both
Liverpool and United were busy in the transfer market this summer as
they signed a whole host of new players, but the possibility that
Bakkali may now be available is sure to spark another transfer battle in
the near future, as PSV will no doubt be keen to sell him soon rather
than lose him for free.
