Project Smile 3.0 Kicks Off with Call-to-Entry Campaign

Season 3 of foremost CSR-based Free Smile Make-over initiative tagged Project Smile has commenced with a Call-to-Entry campaign inviting persons with flawed dentition to enter for a chance to win a complimentary smile makeover.

Riding on the call-to-action theme ‘Can Your Smile Pass the Confidence Test?’, the Season 3 campaign aims to reach out to individuals who are affected by dental flaws and as a result have suffered social stigma in various degrees.

These individual must be 18 years or above and in a social economic class in which they cannot afford the treatment on their own.

According to Dr. Amy Traore-Shumbusho, Initiator of Project Smile, “we want to reach out to people from the age of eighteen and above who have dental flaws ranging from over-crowded, protruding and discoloured teeth to far more complex cases. There are lots of people out there who can’t open their mouth for fear of being stigmatized in their social circles because they are affected by one or a combination of these cases. Our aim is to seek these people who can’t afford the treatment program and give them the opportunity to stand the chance of being a beneficiary of the treatment they never thought they could have because of the cost implications.”

Project Smile is structured to run through five phases beginning the launch which will culminate with an award event on the 30th of May. The Call-to-Entry campaign which will run for 8 weeks is the second phase where participants are called to visit the website www.projectsmileng.com to enter for the smile makeover contest and like the initiative on facebook.com/projectsmilenigeria
