Boko Haram in fresh attacks in Borno state

Boko Haram members this evening launched fresh attacks in Maiduguri, Borno state. According to reports, the sect members entered the town through an area known as "Cashew Plantain" which is behind Giwa Barracks, housing the 7th Division of the Army. Residents say were taken unawares as the sect members stormed their community, shooting sporadically and causing everyone to run for safety. Nigerian troops are reportedly engaging the sect members in a serious gun battle.
